Profile
Bio
Cécile is a postdoctoral researcher in the Microenvironment & Immunity Unit, Immunology department, at Institut Pasteur. She’s motivated to do science communication by the sheer passion she has for her work and wanting to share it with people, even those without a scientific background. In fact, she finds that non-scientists often have the most interesting questions about her work. She also wants to demystify science by making it approachable and interesting to everyone. Cécile is driven by wanting to make the world a better place while working with brilliant and kind people. In fact, her favorite word is “idiopathic” -- used by doctors to mean they can’t find the cause of an illness. She thinks we shouldn’t hide that as scientists we don’t know everything and that’s the very core of our work: to discover the unknown.
