Maite is a PhD student in the Evolutionary Cell Biology and Evolution of Morphogenesis group at the Institut Pasteur and a former board member of Piplettes! She works with marine microorganisms called choanoflagellates. These organisms are closely related to animals and hold many answers about how we evolved at the molecular and cellular levels. Her passions include diving and science communication - and she wants to share the magic of biology with a broader audience.
