Nell is a PhD student in the Virus and Immunology Unit at Institut Pasteur. The aspect of her role that Nell enjoys best is asking scientific questions and being able to address them by digging through the literature or working in the lab – often using her favorite tool: the automatic multi-dispenser pipette. Nell is driven to communicate science because she recognizes that researchers exist within a society, and they have a responsibility to explain the goals of their work and be transparent about the knowledge they gather. She believes this transparency helps the public to better understand the advances going on around them, and dispel wariness of the scientists involved.
