Bio
A PhD candidate in the Decision and Bayesian Computation Unit, Department of Neuroscience & Computational Biology, Institut Pasteur. Anqi knows that in science even failed experiments can contribute greatly to mankind’s scope of knowledge. She is eager to apply her research to our daily lives and to improve healthcare for the underprivileged through science communication. Anqi confesses that because of a lost bet she got herself to eat food for flies (yammy?-she says not)! She dreams to advance treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease, following her role model Rachel Carson which Anqi describes as “a passionate writer and a woman with extraordinarily progressive foresight”. Her favourite book is Misery by Stephen King and in her free time she likes to watch the TV series Parks and Recreation. Oh, and not to forget, Anqi is a big dog lover.
