Bio

Juan Diego is a postdoctoral researcher in the Mitochondrial Biology Unit at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. His favorite scientist is Otto Warburg, who discovered the Warburg Effect, which opened up new avenues for studying tumor biology and potential treatments. Juan Diego is passionate about science communication because he sees a gap between what’s published in academic journals and how the general public perceives science. He wants to contribute to making science clear and accessible for non-scientists. During his PhD, he had to don the hat of actor for a video demonstrating a new technique the lab he was in developed.
