Nora has many mottos that apply to her everyday life within the lab; she claims that ‘any new discovery is exciting to her’, but as any good and cautious scientist, she only believes it when she sees it. Nora thinks that scientists need to communicate their work to a larger public to make knowledge more accessible and to help people understand the necessity of funding scientific research. Nora is inspired by women scientists in the field, in particular those from older generations, who went against all odds to succeed in science despite opposition that limited women’s contribution for much of modern history. As for her hobbies and favorite media, Nora is into the classics–Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Star Wars, and Batman.
