Bio

Nicole is a PhD student working at the Institut Imagine, which is devoted to fighting genetic diseases. Inspired by 1968 Nobel Prize winner Rita Levi Montalcini both for her scientific discoveries and blazing a trail for women in science in her native Italy, Nicole researches diseases affecting brain development, and dreams of discovering the role of genetic mutations involved in such conditions. When she’s not at the bench pretending her pipette is a wand from the wizarding world of Harry Potter, her love of literature and reading drives her to communicate scientific knowledge to the general public. Nicole has recently joined the editorial team of Piplettes as head of copy editing and translation.
